Competition to fill Tenure-elegible Lecturer posts under the Serra Húnter Programme (second call 2019)
On 28th October 2020, the decision of the Rector of the University of Barcelona of 22th October 2020 announcing selection processes to hire teaching and research staff under the Serra Húnter Programme was published in the Official Gazette of the Catalan Government (DOGC ).

Documents to be submitted
The following documents must be submitted using of one of the following procedures:
- At the registry office in the Pavelló Rosa, located in the maternity ward (Travessera de les Corts, 131-159, 08028 Barcelona) and the other registry offices included in the document locations and opening hours of general registry offices of the University of Barcelona, which can be viewed at http://www.ub.edu/registre/ca/horari.html .
- Electronically by means of a standard submission form: https://www.ub.edu/eadministracio/IG.html Note that with this means of submission attachments cannot exceed an established size limit. If it is not possible to attach all necessary documents, these will have to be submitted by registered post as described in point c below. (If and only if the post offices are closed due to COVID-19 may the remaining documentation be submitted by email to personal.academic.concursos@ub.edu.)
- By registered post. In this case it will be necessary to use the administrative registered post procedure (also known as the open envelope procedure because the postal employee stamps the date of dispatch on the sent document before sealing the envelope).
- By any of the means established in Article 38.4 of Law 30/1992, of 26 November, on the legal regime of the public sector and common administrative procedures, in accordance with the transitional provisions of Law 39/2015, of 1 October (LPACAP).
In the event that the application is submitted by one of the alternative means to the University's online or in-person registries (points a and b), the applicant should retain a full copy with the date and official stamp of submission to the registry, and send a copy by email to the address personal.academic.concursos@ub.edu within the same application submission period.
- The candidate’s application form, which must be signed and registered within the period established in the terms and conditions of the call. By signing the application form, the candidate declares that he or she meets the general and specific requirements established in the terms and conditions.
- Photocopy of DNI/passport or NIE/identity card.
- Photocopy of the doctoral degree certificate, or confirmation of the request for its issue.
- Photocopy of the positive assessment report issued by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) or the report issued by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) for access to the position of assistant lecturer.
- Certificate of Level C in Catalan issued by the Catalan Government or an equivalent certificate, or statement of the commitment to obtain this certificate, as described in Section d of paragraph 2.2.
Documents to be submitted by email (personal.academic.concursos@ub.edu) in PDF format:
- Full curriculum vitae in any format
- A document that specifies the applicant’s five most valuable academic contributions (articles, books, patents, etc.)
- A brief description of the applicant’s teaching experience (maximum one page)
- A general description of the applicant's teaching and research interests, indicating their relevance to the area covered by the contract offered for the next five years (maximum six pages).
- It applicable, accreditation of international postdoctoral experience or placements at leading universities or research centers in any country, excluding the University of Barcelona.
Given the nature of the Serra Hunter Programme and the composition of the selection committees, it is recommended that the documentation in sections a), b), c) and d) be presented in an official language in Catalonia as well as in English.
The subject line of the email must specify the competition code.
